Grooming for Pets

To keep your pet happy they need to be groomed regularly. Our hospital offers professional grooming services that will leave your pet looking brand new. Grooming is especially needed for pets that have long hair that becomes easily matted, senior pets and others with physical disabilities that prevent them from taking care of themselves.

What happens during a pet’s grooming session?

During your furry friends grooming appointment we give them a bath with special formulated shampoo that suits their needs. A medicated bath can help pets who suffer from allergies, flea infestations and dry or oily skin. Pets are also given a haircut, ear cleaning and nail trimming. We clean your pet’s eyes, paws and pads. Our grooming specialist has years of experience and treats your loyal companion with compassion to make them as comfortable as possible. We do our best to keep your pet calm and make the session less stressful for them.

How often does my pet need to be groomed?

After dogs have reached 3-months-old they should be groomed every 6 to 8 weeks. Even though cats groom themselves often they should be professionally groomed every 3 months. To schedule your pet’s grooming appointment simply call 613.531.3334.

How can I prepare my pet for their grooming session?

Before your pet’s grooming session they should be vaccinated. We require that pets are up to date with vaccines for Bordetella, Distemper, Hepatitis, Influenza and Rabies to ensure a safe place for all our patients being groomed.
